Creation, Sustainence and Destruction (उत्पत्ती, स्थिती, लय ) are fundamental concepts in Hinduism. Brahma is the Creator, Vishnu is the Preserver and Shiva is the Destructor. This Holy Trinity is encompasses the basic tenets of Hinduism.
The trio are represented by three colors. Gold and White represent the Creator, the Beginning, at the base. Blue is for the Preserver. The darkest shade is for the Destroyer, the End. The three pebbles in the painting, placed in sequence from bottom to top represent the three Deities.
The confluence of the Holy Trio results in the Holy Avtar of Shri Dattatreya, represented in the painting as a Circle and an inscribed Triangle.
The Holy Trinity and Avtar of Dattatreya encompass the whole universe, a part of which is our abode, this planet Earth, the green circle.
