The Yogi keeps the vices away. The spiritual power forms an invisible shield keeping the enemy at bay.

This painting shows a Yogi deep in meditation. The golden serpents represent the “Shadripu”, the 6 mortal enemies, viz, lust, anger, greed, attachment, intoxication with power and jealousy, away. An invisible shield prevents the serpents from reaching and poisoning the Yogi.
